Your homebirth midwife
Tiffany is a deeply passionate privately practicing registered midwife with endorsement to diagnose and prescribe. This means that she can provide holistic midwifery care to women throughout pregnancy, during labour and birth, and for 6 weeks after baby is born. Tiffany is also an experienced childbirth educator, supporting women and their families to fill knowledge gaps and provide information that supports decision making during their childbearing season.
Sheoak Midwifery was first established in December 2024. The journey any midwife takes towards endorsement and being in a position to offer homebirth services or community based private practice midwifery is lengthy and not linear. From the time that seed was first planted to the point of offering this service, ten years passed. Throughout, Tiffany has been intentional and determined in her pursuit of this goal, gathering a wide range of experiences and learning as she worked toward meeting the extensive requirements for endorsement. Comprehensive understanding of birth physiology, provision of relationship based midwifery and homebirth have been consistent areas of interest across these years. |
Having grown up, lived and worked in the southwest for most of her life, Tiffany is well-integrated in this community. Tiffany is based in Busselton. Through her years working in the WA Country Health Service, Tiffany has developed many positive working relationships with health professionals and maternity services in the region.
Tiffany is also a registered nurse, mother to two delightfully interesting children and one questionably trained German shorthaired pointer called Billie. In the gaps of time between midwifing and mumming, Tiffany considers herself an enthusiastic yet slightly chaotic aspiring gardener who loves coffee, long walks on the beach, refining her eclectic home décor collection and thinking about the country Sweden far more than the average person. Tiffany acts in accordance withAHPRA Registration
